Students,
D/C - Today you used a rubric to help you understand how your research paper is going to be scored. Nothing fancy, I hope you enjoyed your breather.
AP - For most of my classes we discussed a DBQ, how to interpret documents and how to construct an argument from each. see yesterdays post for a copy of the DBQ if you were absent.
REMINDERS
Notebook Check is on Thursday / Friday be prepared to leave your binder with me.

Students,
Dual Credit - your final papers were due today. Overall I am relatively happy with the amount of students that turned them in. If you haven't remember that this research paper is part of your final and will account for 10% of your semester grade. get it to me.
AP - we practiced some DBQ writing again today. Source analysis and creating an argument based on a "to what extent" question. We will continue this practice tomorrow.
REMINDERS
Binder checks will be on Thursday and Friday this week!
End of the six weeks and the semester is December the 19th, get your grades in order.

Students,
Today we finished our discussion on Reconstruction PPT below.

This concluded our unit on the Civil war and Reconstruction, and we dove right into our review during class. I listened to your pleas and your cries, and at least for our last test I have crafted a review that, in addition to vocabulary, asks you questions that you should be prepared to answer. Hopefully this provides you with a better chance at this test.
REMINDERS
Test tomorrow Friday the 5th.
Dual Credit, final papers are due on Monday December 8th.
RUBRIC
Progress report grades are due friday, and the final grades are due on the 19th.

Students,
Today we began to wrap our minds around the problem of reconstruction. How can you re-incorporate half of the country in such a way that people are willing to live with each other side by side. How can people who have been fighting against each other for the past 4 years see eye to eye on anything?
If you were gone, you will need to come talk to me to discuss what you have missed.
