Today we finished up our mini-presentations where possible, but when not possible we shifted gears to the life of African Americans in the South, In particular the hurdles between them and exercising their 15th amendment right to vote.

Students,

Today I decided I was being lazy, and that this teaching thing is exhausting. So you all being such good students decided that you were going to design a mini-lesson to teach your peers tomorrow. We broke into groups and each of you were given a piece of legislation that was passed during the Civil War that has an impact on American History that reaches into the next semester. December 2nd - 3rd, 2015

Students,

As we approach the end of the semester we begin to tie up lose ends of our content. Over the course of these two days we will tackle the concept of Reconstruction in the South. And answer the question how can we reincorporate these rebellious states back into the Union in the most peaceful way possible? Please see the PPT below if you will be absent.

In addition...In your notes write the question and devise a strategy for reincorporating the rebellious South into the Union while implementing abolition of slavery and addressing those that orchestrated the  secession of Southern States.
