August 26th & 27th, 2016

Students,

Congratulations we are slightly ahead of schedule! feels good! Today we began presenting our researched information. Most of the presentations that were shared today were fantastic and I hope that you all enjoyed the dialogue that we had. Those that struggled... its alright you will have plenty of opportunities to make it up to me. We will finish presentations on Monday!

HOMEWORK

What follows is a scientific examination of how empathy has played a role in how we as a society have evolved to interact with each other. It really does frame the way in which I try to approach our creation of a historical narrative for US History and will help you understand a little bit more of what to expect from the course. Please watch the video and Answer a), b), and c).



a) create a summary for Jeremy Rifkins vision of empathy.
b) attack or defend the position presented in the video
c) predict how 'empathy' can be applied to history to better understand an event?

Assignment should be no more than 2 pages typed. properly titled and meet the following criteria.
